9 & under

* All age groups are boys and girls together.

May 29th- Alma (Blueberry Plantation)

June 5th- Camden Co. (Laurel Island)

June 12th- Glynn Co. (Jekyll Island- Pine Course)

June 19th- Jeff Davis (Twisted Pines)

June 26th- Douglas (Beaver Creek)

July 3rd- OFF (possible TBA)

July 10th- District- Alma (Blueberry Plantation)

July 18th/19th- State- Augusta

All tournaments will start at 9am.

Golf tournaments will be held on Thursdays, prior to district.
All Thursday tournaments shall be governed by the current rules and regulations of the United States Golf Association (USGA), with exceptions found in this handout.
Estimated entries from each agency must be given to the host agency one week prior to the event, for course scheduling purposes.
Players will be grouped by age division in foursomes with players from different agencies.
Players are to trade cards with different players in the foursome so no player keeps their own score.
Tournaments will begin at 9AM
Age control date is prior to August 1st, of the current year.
Age divisions are as follows: 9 & under (for all tournaments EXCEPT district); 11 & under; 13 & under; 15 & under; 18 & under. All age groups are boys and girls together.
9 & under, 11 & under, and 13 & under play 9 holes, all other age groups play 18.
9 & under will tee off from 100 yds on par 3's, 150 yds on par 4's, 200yds on par 5's.
11 & under, 13 & under - red tees. 15 & under - white tees. 18 & under - blue tees.
All golfers shall walk the course. Any player shall be able to use a pull cart.
Tournaments are scored without regard to handicap.
One adult must accompany and monitor each foursome or age group depending on the number of golfers.
Verbal instruction from adult bystanders limited to the 9 & under age group ONLY!
In tournaments ball should be picked up after a score equals double par, to ensure quick play. Ribbons/Medals will be awarded to the first and second place finishers in each age group for Thursday meets. Individual trophies will be awarded to first and second place finishers in each age group at the district meet. No team trophies will be awarded.
In case of tie, regression will be used to determine winner. Random hole number will be selected by tournament director and regression to begin from that point.
Cost to play at each course for the golfers, will be determined by host course and agency and must be made known to participating agencies prior to hosting.
Cost of golf carts for parents/spectators to ride and watch players will be determined by host course.
Cost for adults to play will be determined by host course.
